Job Overview: This position is responsible for the daily operations of lease facilities in order to minimize expenses and downtime and maximize production.
Essential Functions:
- Perform operation check of assigned wells and related equipment and facilities daily
- Ensure all equipment is maintained according to company compliance and integrity standards
- Notify supervisor of required maintenance to be carried out by external service providers
- Supervise contractors providing repairs and maintenance to equipment
- Ensure accuracy of run tickets by checking gauges and tests; enter gauges, tests and production on a daily basis into Scout
- Help maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory, environmental and safety regulations
- Maintain positive relationship with surface owners as well as local, state and federal representatives
- Identify areas for continuous improvement to well site facilities
- Provide all necessary reports to supervisors as scheduled and upon request
- Ensure that procedures for the safe execution of tasks are in place and adhered to
- Work with production and engineering teams to control costs related to well sites and facilities
- Participate in company safety programs and training
- Responsibility and authority to stop unsafe work on company locations
Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- At least 5 years of experience operating horizontal wells, preferably in the Midland Basin
- Acquainted with all well site and production equipment, compressors, systems and process control systems
- Ability to trouble shoot wellsite equipment and tank batteries when equipment is not functioning properly or efficiently
- Quick and accurate data entry skills are required
- Must take initiative to independently solve problems when able and report unresolved problems to supervisor
- Must be accountable for well sites included on assigned route
- Communicate clearly to other employees, supervisors and external parties
- Basic to Intermediate proficiency operating a computer, including Microsoft Outlook and Scout production software
- Basic math skills
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Schedule: This is a full-time position and typical work hours are 10 hours per day. The schedule for this position consists of 10 days on and 4 days off. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
